From Velocity Servers Inc. to ColoCrossing
In 2003, our parent company Velocity Servers Inc was founded. Decades of Dedication, We began as an internet service and web hosting company which paved the way for what would soon become ColoCrossing. By 2006, ColoCrossing became a division of Velocity Servers and we had expanded our services from primarily hosting websites and computer gaming servers to providing enterprise level colocation and dedicated server hosting at our nation-wide data centers.
Expanding our Locations
In March 2009, ColoCrossing expanded our footprint by opening at the newly constructed Dupont Fabros Chicago facility. Decades of Dedication, this expansion marked the completion of our first large-scale data center build-out and set the stage for robust growth in the years to come. Fast forward to 2012, and we opened our first Buffalo-based data center facility, increasing our nationwide total at the time to nine. Decades of Dedication, to support growing business in 2014 we opened our first 24/7 network operations center in Downtown Buffalo, located within the same building as our then two Buffalo datacenter facilities. Which we later moved in 2016 to a much larger and modern office space in Downtown Buffalo.
Further Growth
Decades of Dedication – Over the years of becoming a leading provider in the industry, we have been awarded the INC5000 award three times for being among the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States. In 2017, we additionally became recipients of a Deloitte Fast 500 Award as well as the Buffalo Fast 50. In 2018 ColoCrossing was acquired by Deluxe Corporation which brought on new growth and expansion to our infrastructure.
What’s to Come
In June of 2023, ColoCrossing has embarked on a new and exciting journey as we were acquired by HostPapa, a leading North American hosting provider. Decades of Dedication, this acquisition ensures that we can continue to evolve and serve our clients even better in the years to come.
